I am saddened to report to you the loss of a special friend and long time member of our forum that we all love and respece and have learned much from Bebop

Hi Bill,

This is Alan Piper. I am Chucks youngest son. I am writing to inform you of the unfortunate passing away of my father this morning around 6:15am.
He awoke this morning asking my mother to call for an ambulance which she did and as she was doing so he passed out into unconsciousness. By the time the ambulance arrived within 10 minutes or less he was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary but pronounced dead on arrival from the details we had.
As you know he has been suffering from COPD for a while now and it seems he lost the fight he was struggling with this disease.
I know you were a friend of his and had come here to collect some things from his flat in Whitefield.

This may or may not be the right time to discuss this but as you also know my father had a Technics KN7000 keyboard as well as another one in his flat (I am not sure of the make or model of that one).
I was wondering if you would have any information on how we may sell this keyboard to a good owner with all the other stuff to go along with it, as in the SD cards and such.

If this would not be something you would know about if you can let me know please so I can explore other avenues. I want to try to clear as much of the 'luggage' that my mom is going to have to deal with as possible as it is a stressful time for us all as we deeply miss my father. To try to describe how we feel is hard. Numbness at his passing so quickly, anger at not having spent more time with him. Love as we remember all the good times we spent as a family.

Any help you can gives us would be gratefully received.

Thanks,

Alan Piper

I was saddened to hear that Chuck has passed away. I was fortunate enough to meet him along with others at the Technics 'North of the Gap' get together held here in the UK.
He was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed.
John

P.S. I'm fairly sure his other keyboard was a KN6000 - from a chat we had when we met.

I'm both SHOCKED & deeply SADDENED to hear this tragic news. Chuck & I had shared some nice telephone chats while he was out visiting here in California last year. He has been my longtime loyal SZ friend, both on and off the forum, coming to my defense on numerous occasions here. He will be greatly missed by many. My deepest condolences go out to Alan Piper & his family.

Chuck and I corresponded many times. Both of us retired from the Air Force. Never had met Chuck but came across as a level headed gentleman. He will be missed by many on this forum. Deepest sympathy to Alan and his family.

I didn't know Chuck but I know some of the Zoners who are missing Chuck. I'm a newer member of SynthZone. I've readed that Chuck was ill for a longer time. Maybe this was the reason why I couldn't meet him since I'm in here.

It's sad to hear that I won't have the chance to meet him any more. The only good thing of the Grim Reaper is that he takes our burdens away and leads us back at home - he's finally a friend who shows mercy! He's a servant of the Lord!

My condolences to the family for the lost of a loved human!

I am realy shocked to hear the bad news.
Chuck and I we had a special e-mail relationship because a long time ago he was in the Netherlands ( Soesterberg ) for RAF.
Sometimes he wrote me e-mails in the Dutch language.
My deepest condoleances for you and your family. Be strong in the coming time.
