Who is going to explain to them how easy they make making music?
Who? old codgers like you and I and most of the members of this forum - that's who. We have the knowledge, experience and wisdom developed over many years of playing and exploring the internal operating systems of these boards. I, personally, have taught a dozen or more relatively young players how to use their arranger keyboards. All, but one are now performing at bars and restaurants, and a few have lately switched over the performing the senior circuit and this is their sole source of income.
Unfortunately, because of the covid restrictions, I can no longer do this - it would be far too dangerous for me to come in contact with this disease given my current health situation.
Some of my past students, which I did charge for instructions, caught on very quickly, mainly I believe because they were technical minded and worked in technology, computer programmers, etc... Those that were primarily piano players when youngsters, had problems grasping the OS and determining how to remember the functions available on the keyboard. Bottom line, nearly all were in their late 20s to mid 40s, and though they all had some musical background, they all can now play much better than me - I'm damned proud of that!
All the best,
Gary
