I have two problems with the KN2600 / Song manager

When I use song manager and try either to send files from the computer to the KN2600, or from the KN to the computer it just hangs with a transmission error report. with the files on the sd card in the kn which work

If I try to restore from a downloaded file the song manager appears to run but never finishes, task manager reports that song manager is not responding.

If I try a backup from the card to a computer directory it seems to do this.

When I look at the card after a restore it has made the following directory tree

Private - technics - KN7000 the 2 or 3 folders i.e TFLD003 TFLD004 TFLD005
003 HAS A FEW FILES, 2 EXTENSIONS; 004 HAS MORE FILES WITH 4 EXTENSIONS
AND 005 HAS TWO FILES.

Running under Windows XP Pro with most updates on.
tried disabling the antivirus, firewall, zone alarm etc.

Have you any suggestions why the USB link will not work.

When I do get files on the SD card in the reader the KN2600 always reports the card empty,
