Agree. Yamaha and others should look at how really simple it is to repurpose the internals to a module form. I mean this guy, with no disrespect to his abilities, looks like he would be more comfortable in a Blacksmith shop. Imagine what the big guys could do with their manufacturing capabilities. and at very low cost. Bet they would sell really well.

Bachus, I have friends that lived in Poland, Russia, Sweden and Norway and they all marveled that here in the US we can buy a high quality power drill for under $10 and said the same drill would sell for about $30 where they came from. I purchased an vibrating edge saw for $14 US, a saw they said would sell for much, much more in their nations as well. Are you saying those nations do not make up a lot of northern Europe? How much do these power tools cost in your area? Just curious?

I buy the best tools I can afford.. why because I use them..

I haver drills I purchased over 50 years ago (commercial grade Craftsman)..Used then everyday..Had to replave brushes once in a blue moon and maybe a trigger.

Same with my Black and Decker commercial reciprocating saw..over 50 years and used all the time..

It pays to buy the best if you use professionally...

It sounds like your tools are disposable

Fran, nearly all my hand tools, wrenches, ratchet, box, etc..., were either Craftsman or Snap On, which were of the highest quality.

My power tools were all purchased from Harbor Freight, mostly electric drills, orbital sanders, buffers, chisels, saws, all of which are, after more than 15 years, still holding up well. This, despite the fact they were used a lot on my boat, which is a nasty, saltwater, environment.

I purchased a backup generator for my home from Lowes, which after 10 years, still fires up on the first or second pull of the starter cord. I'll stick to my guns on my tools.

I think necessity is the mother of invention. Just plug in your choice of keyboard and away you go, or connect up as a second tier for a dual keyboard but use only on keyboard. Several possibilities there for sure and less to carry ( smaller footprint).
