Is it possible to copy and edit the performance pads? I would like to copy one of the original gospel pads and change it so that it will syncronize with my playing. I have been trying this already by myself but I am having no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

which machine are you talking about? the pads can all be copied from the preset to a user slot, and all can have the voice changed easily. Selectable syncronisation was introduced with the 5000 and improved overall on the 6000 series. You can't change this on a 3000.

in that case go to menu / pad / phrase copy and put the pad into a user bank.

then go to the user bank in the pad menu, select the pad and press play setting. here is the choice for synchro or instant start and whether to loop or not. any other editing problems, just shout.
