Hi

I am trying to connect my notebook with Finale to play a midi file on the SX-PR602 at my church. But the user manual is no where to be found and when I play the midi file, the piano doesn't play the correct sounds.

Can someone tell me how to set the piano to use general midi or point me to a site where I can download the user manual?

Thanks in advance!

Hello:
Can't give you an answer on how to get the midi to work in relation to your connection setup. Midi settings are numerous and tricky.

However, I can suggest the PR602 can play the midi directly. If it's possible, copy the midi file on a floppy disk. Then load it on the PR602. I don't have a PR602, it should have a load option of either SMF or midi, pick one and you should be able to play it directly. I'm also assuming the PR602 has a floppy drive.

Hope this helps...

Anthony

You can download the manual for the keyboard here: http://www.pasc.panasonic.com/OperMan/FindManual.asp?bhcd2=1060425066
OR http://www.pasc.panasonic.com/OperMan/FindManual.asp?Pass=3
It is over 6Mb in size and is in PDF format.

Hi All

Thank you so much for all the prompt replies.
This forum is great!
The online manual link is very very helpful. I have not been able to find it after a lot of google and yahoo searches. The floppy method is a good idea too. That way I don't have to attach it to a notebook everytime.
