with PLANTY of flubs! LOL

I'll post the YouTube vid as soon as it renders.
I'm getting much more comfortable with the Ketron. There's still a few things that feel strange, but that's likely a learning curve, or user error .... time will tell.
One big thing that stumped me today ... on virtually every other arranger I've had - if you have up/down buttons for transpose, tempo etc ... you can push both simultaneously and get a reset, but this one doesn't do it. Instead, I get a master window - requires more than a few button pushes to achieve what used to be possible with 1 single push.

I think the vocal balance is still a bit hot in these recordings, but remember, there's the mic'd signal PLUS the added acoustic sound aimed straight at the camera. The camera might be more sensitive to the signal than my ears.

Sounds great Dave, you played “You’re my home” my favorite tune, rarely been played, and “This boy” took me a while figuring out I’m watching in reverse, lol, I’d personally like the arranger parts be a bit up to balance with right hand comping, awesome 😎

On KETRON keyboards, hitting both tempo (+/-) or transpose (+/-) opens up a submenu partaining to those functions, within which you can access other associated features, unlike the Japanese manufactures. To reload the original TEMPO of a style, simply select it again as you are playing it (touch it on the display).

Also note that you can store the tempo and transpose values within the registrations so as you load the registrations, the required tempo and transpose loads instantly :-)

Thanks,

Hi Dave,

Pleasure to listen to you as always, however.............
Unless my ears deceive me big time this was not recorded straight from the line out of the SD7, or was it ? I am under the impression the overall sound (the way you hear it in your room) was recorded with an external mike or the webcam mike ....??
It does not do credit to the best parts of the ketron that is the drums and bass, which sound to me like a PSR keyboard ( no offence)....Furthermore and once again there is much too much prominence to 1/ your vocals 2/ the righthand sounds......
Is that all I have to criticise ? Yep that's all Dave, overall a very smooth performance, interesting and captivating with very strong vocals and you seem to have a never ending supply of songs that you can do virtually off the cuff....Looking forward to another streaming ( next week ?) with hopefully a recording straight from the line out............
take care ,

regards
John

Nice job, Dave ...

Mel, I'm not sure why, but, yes it is like a mirror image ... even the "Abbey Road" pillow in the background is reversed ...

LOL - the mirror image, and why the sound is less than stellar is because it's the front facing camera (selfie cam) on my phone! That way I can see the responses in real time. If I use the better camera, I can't see the replies. Thanks everyone.

I know the recordings seem that way, but the sound in the room suggests otherwise. I'm sure I do favor what I want to listen to more, but the balance is not as extreme as it seems to be in these videos. This is why many band videos sound lackluster - until I can hire Steven Spielberg to do my videos, this is the best I can do in isolation. LOL
