Even though it is a state run program,my understanding is that the federal provisions amplify the state provisions, because gig workers,or independent contractors have coverage .

Dave, if you didn't pay Self Employment tax, which is on Schedule C, then you are not entitled to unemployment compensation. You can only collect if you paid into the system, at least that's the way it reads to me. Gary
