Never heard of you will say and you will be spot on. But bear with me please. Notwithstanding the pandemic and my own shaky constitution I continue to endeavour finding solace in making music and listening to good music. I also realize this is predominantly a keyboard orientated forum and the fact that over 90% of those participating are from the USA.

So.....here is some geography first and some astounding music later which ,I think, might appeal to many of you here.
I live in the very southwest of Holland near a town called Middelburg, check it out please...
DANNY VERA is a musician who actually is from Middelburg and has been around the block for a while but has risen to national fame over the last five years. He and his band do a lot of covers but he also writes a bunch of songs himself.
Last year he had a megahit in Holland and a few surrounding countries with his song "Rollercoaster ", see link below for an astonishing live studio performance.
Yesterday the site of our regional radio station ( where I was employed once myself) published a brand new video of him recorded at his house a couple of days ago with a grand new song penned by himself which imho should hit Bilbooard 100 (does that still exist ) song entitled:"Hold on and let go"
(see link below)
And to top it all 14 year old DAX (who lives about 25 kms from where I live) surprised all and sundry with his stellar performance of Blue Suede Shoes on national network TV in the program The Voice Kids.
Enjoy !!!!!

regards,
John

I wish these two gentlemen much success. Much better music than most of the stuff they play on the radio here in the USA!

John, I really enjoyed Danny Vera, but did I have to D/L an app the see Dax?
As for Danny, yes he is very talented and has a 'signature' type of voice. And I am always amazed at European singers - or others - who sing in "American English" as if they were born here.
But truth be told, there is a LOT of really good talent all over the world, including America that will never get their due - unfortunate as that may be ...

In my case, it says: „Deze video kan helaas niet afgespeeld worden in het land waar je bent.“ - I can guess the meaning as in German it would sound very similar: „Dieses Video kann derzeit nicht abgespielt werden in dem Land, in dem Sie sind.“ smile

Which means: The video cannot be shown in the country you're in.
Banned outside the Netherlands...
