This guy has other videos of previous Yamaha keyboards, showing every single style onboard. If you're curious to know exactly what you're getting, it'll serve you well to take a listen. smile

P.S. He'll post other videos demoing all the different style categories at a later date.

thanks for sharing the video. I am the fence about buying this. I like some very cool styles, especially the guitar type ballad stuff. But those drums? Can't they tone down the bass and toms and no snare to speak of? To me, they sound too predictable still. That wouldn't stop me, I don't think.

Yes, what he said.
You will miss all the great operating features of the Korg. MANY small things make a BIG deal, at least to me.

Zuki, not being a mind reader of any sort, I feel your answer lies in you. Both Korg and Yamaha are fantastic keyboards. My opinion --- I have said this before; If you are playing jobs, and your need is to have a good OTS, itโ€™s Korg. If you wish to invent, create, I find the Sx900 is a better keyboard. Yes, there are things you can not do with Yamaha, but itโ€™s the same for Korg.

My advice, if you have interest. Find a Sx900 at a good price, open box, used, whatever, and buy it. Then learn the keyboard -- not in two weeks, more like two months. Letโ€™s say you paid $1,800 for the Sx900 and you want to sell it โ€“ getting $1,500 should not be a problem. $300 to find peace of mind, no more guessing. Most important, you will know where to direct your time and energy.
If dollars are scare, do nothing.

John C.

PS, about 6 years ago I has a Tyros 3, loved it, I recorded more songs than any other keyboard. I sold the Ty3 and bought a Korg 800 โ€“ Korg 900, Pa4x, Pa1000, loved them all. My needs have changed so I own Sx900. Itโ€™s the best for me.

Donny, I listen to them in my car, and at home. Here is my excuse for not sharing them. My wife has a fractured Tail Bone โ€“ pain, pain, pain. Iโ€™m with Parkinson, disease, Diabetes, and fighting age โ€“ but I am still going โ€“ so very soon I will post some music.
