Kid is very talented and probably plays at a level that most of the 70+ yr olds here will never reach. But here's the thing; I'll bet my first born that he didn't start lessons on an arranger keyboard, he started on PIANO. Without formal training, most people will not be able to develop the technical skills necessary to perform what you just heard, especially at that age. If your kid or grandkid is interested in music, make sure he learns the 'basics' first. JMO.

Chas, good thinking. You can tell when a player has had music training, they are all over the instrument.

It would be nice if we discussed Chord Extentions, Chord Substitution, and Jazz Scales. Not I depth, but just enough to add to our playing.

I can assure you... that sound and backing is all Go Keys..

I was impressed with mine .. finally sold it to Donny.. He sold it within 2 hours.

The Go Keys is a looper and has 5 divisions of backing loops with 12 variations each.. It can also follow your chords on most of the 22 rhythm types.. Blue tooth and usb midi..($300). If I could have split it with piano and bass... I would still have it.. One of the best fun keyboards I have owned..

I came to this video having just watched his Billie Jean treatment. Pretty stunning. I mean, I'd be inclined to pass over a one-verse song like Sunny (much as I like it, anyway) on the grounds that "it doesn't have enough in it" to make it interesting. Hearing this guy work his magic on it, how wrong would I have been? Definitely a case of t'aint what ya do, etc.

Playing is very good but backing is only drums and bass. Not very impressive sound if you ask me.
