There’s no reason you can’t do both. Why limit yourself to one or the other?

I think if one does not have to move it around ...a Yamaha 809 Clavinova may be an almost perfect keyboard to have....but get out your wallet! LOL...

Hi Lee,
You’re not kidding, they are pricey, but sure would be nice . Haha.

The guy I used to buy my Technics keyboards from was brilliant. They also sold pianos.
Able to play beautiful solo piano, then he’d switch on the accompaniment, and it sounded like he was playing with an orchestra, still able play his runs and fill ins etc. in pianist mode. Could never work out how to do it. He was more than happy to try and explain, but it never sank in .haha

Had his own series of piano teaching books, but from memory they were just based on teaching classical music, wish he ‘d actually published one with arrangements that worked with his style of playing.

I was heavilly dissapointed with the 809..
Specs changed minimal compared to the 5 year old 709

Hi Bachus,
wouldn’t it have the newer Genos/sx style engine?

Not something I’ve checked into, I think I’d have real trouble convincing hubby I needed one. Haha
