To All Synthzone Non Members and more specifically Technics Forum Non Members visiting and reading Posts Here.
You are welcome to our forum as well as the other forums in the SynthZone. You are also welcome to join the Synthzone. You will note that you must be a registered member to post to the forums.
You must also be a registered member of the synthzone to receive any of the files I forward on behalf of and to our registered members.
Many people have requested the files that I do not recognize their names. I have replied to you and asked for your info and Forum posting name before sending you the files. I never hear from most of you people again.
With very few exceptions the files I send out are Technics Format for the KN Keyboards. Thes song files are the property of the people that recoreded them and gave me permission to share them with our Forum Members.
Once you have registered in the Synthzone and posted in the Technics Forum then I will know you are here and will then add you to one of my email lists at your request.
You also need to know that the 6 email lists I operate are not part of the Synthzone but complimentary to it. One of the lists is for Yamaha People.
I am looking forward to hearing from all of you that are just visitin here. Email me as soon as you are registered. Thank you and WELCOME
Best to all

I don’t want to stigmatize myself by saying dittos but will say you have condensed my exact feelings. Seeing I yet have to learn the art of condensing, I want xx TO thank Fran in Florida for the art and Bebop for being the ‘Host with the Most’ !

Forget what you call it but I think I have that disease of transposing letters, ot instead of to! I now promote Ruthie to the position of official personal proof reader. On second thought, maybe that’s not a wise move. Kind of limits my freedom of thought and expression. Might even have an affect on household peace. Got enough trouble, think I’ll leave things as they are.

I would like to know if the KN7000 styles are backwards compatible and playable on the KN5000..The reason the question.I like a lot of the older KN styles converted to my Roland format. I would like if possible, and someone could be so kind, the KN7000 styles..I would need the styles in the KN5000 format[my conversion software can accomadate conversion of KN5000]...Are there different styles on the KN7000,that are not on the KN5000? I have the KN5000 conversions..Thanks in advance..

Hi Bebop
I must admit to being one of those Non Members who have being visiting this Forum for about the past two years. It has got to the point, that most nights before going to bed I look in on this forum. Some times I find the threads so interesting I don’t get to bed till two or three in the morning. Unfortunately I find that there is not much I can add too a thread that does not eventually get covered by members more knowledgeable than my self. I would just like to thank all those forum members who have generously given of their expertise on the Kn 7000 keyboard, and every subject that is posted on this forum, which I find interesting, enlightening, and some times amazed at the detailed knowledge members poses. I would like to say thank you to all members for making this a great forum which I look forward to visiting.

At 70 years of age, I can live with being called Junior.
I was in the chemist to day when a lady in front of me, said to the person behind the counter,
You may serve this young gentleman first, referring to me, I nearly slipped off my zimmer frame.
Just when one is thinking that the KN7000 is the main reason for living {and the good lady of course}

Hi,

Im also new. Not only to this forum but also to Technics Keyboard. I bought a KN2600 when Thomann sold out the keyboard for under 600 Euro. I think i´ve got lots of keyboard for that amount of money.

Can i play your songs with my KN2600?

Hi Bebop,
A whole year has flown by since replying to your invitation to join the forum.
I must admit I am not technically minded, and my approach to the computer is
like walking over broken glass in bare feet.

I am pleased I answered your invitation, because I have learnt a lot from
joining the forum, not just about my keyboard the KN7000,
but how to down load my music onto a floppy disk,
put it into the computer, download the files onto the hard disk, put them into a zip file,
add them to an e-mail and send it to you to distribute
round the world.

I was encouraged to down load the ‘window media player’, load my music from the KN7000
to my computer through the USB lead, record it on the computer, compress files, and send them to Larry Hawk to display on his TECHNIC FOR ALL Web Page for any one to access and listen to.
Although the above procedures may seem fairly strait forward for many people, for me it was a steep,
and exciting learning curve, which added to my confidence when using the computer.

The discussions on the forum are always of interest to me and always informative, and any problem
with a Technic Keyboard will get a reply, the depth of knowledge is surprising, and I would like to thank the many members who have added to my enjoyment, when reading their contribution to the
forum.

There are members who deserve special praise for their contribution to the forum, both technically and musically, but I don’t want to take any thing away from the many who have added to the quality
of the forum with their contribution.
I will admit I have obtained more from this forum than I have been able to give and I would like to
thank you all for that, it is an experience that I am pleased I did not miss.

It was all brought about by overcoming my apprehension of joining the forum and answering Bebop’s
invitation.
THANK YOU Bebop you are great and generous man.
All the best to you and yours,
Fred UK

HI FRED,
You surely have climbed a steep and exciting learning curve for a dude that is now 70 or 71. It is amazing isn't it what you can still learn and begin to do, not to mention all the fun of it too.
I find myself like you in a constant learning curve on a daily basis. Our age may be against us but with tenacity and endurance we keep on keeping on.
It is really a joy to me to have so many older people here in the forum teaching each other, that we might all benefit from each others experiences.
I too extend my thanks to all those that make a great effort to teach all our members everything it is helpful for them to know. We also must remember to give NIGEL the credit for letting us have this forum and the freedom of expression we have here.
I must say that Nigel has never told me what I can or can not say or do here and so this in and of itself is a learning curve for me.
Fred you are an inspiration to us all. Keep on Keeping ON!
Best to you and all our new members. Thank you for becoming part of our big family of Technicies
Anyone that wants to share files can do so by emailing them to Cee's as Technics files, Larry as WMA files, or me as Technics Files. We all three have our requirements for doing this so email us first and get on an approved list for file sharing. You can email the person making a post by clicking on the icon at the top of their post.

Of course any long time members not on my email lists can also be added
Best to all and thanks to all the new members that have recently joined us. We are happy to see you here and will help you in anyway we can. Ask your questions and someone will respond with the right answer

A Short Note:

From both of us to Bill 'Bebop' -

You've been good and kind enough to 'publish' some of our work recently. We're very grateful. I know that some of the members don't like 'Step' recording but, what the hell, it's the way we play. At least the majority of the members who've contacted us have had some good comments as well as a few hints of altering the style, etc. but we're only human.

Please keep up the good work. Joining was probably the best thing we did after getting the 'board.

Hey Mark and Lucy, there is nothing at all wrong with step recording songs. Everyone of us started in the beginning one way or another.
I can and will when I have time to look them up if you want them, send you some step recorded songs that will blow out some of our best players. Just awesome. They are midi files I have kept thru the years. Remind me to dig them out for you.
In the meantime keep on keeping on. You are doing fine
Best to you and yours
