When you record a sequence from your KN7000 to your PC as wav, or mp3 or WMA you might run into the same problem that my friend Kenneth and I are having. I have some of my own created music on my site, however they are of acceptable, but not perfect w.r.t. sound quality. I recently added memory to my PC en reinstalled it. But recording on the freshly installed PC with 2.4Ghz CPU and 1GB of RAM did not help. Below is a thread to the same issue on Kenneth's site:

Who know the answer for our problem. Is it a Panasonic driver problem?

If you are using the Panasonic Recorder, try a different Recording program - Audacity (Free Download : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ) or Goldwave (Free to try : www.goldwave.com )
It would also be worth checking that DMA is enabled in your hard disk controller - it normally is if you are using WIN200/XP - and that no other programs are running, during the recording process.

Hi Fred,

I had a similar problem when recording using an earlier version of Cool Edit and displaying the recorded waveform whilst recording. Disabling the real time display fixed the problem so these days I always record with it disabled.

Fred,
Even with a fast processor, XP has so many things going on in the background that it produces glitches or "ticks" in the recording in spite of having all other visable programs turned off.
There is information available on the web. One is www.pcmus.com/TweakXP.htm but if you Google for the subject you can find more.
I use a laptop for recording and I finally got mine cleaned up.
Also, there are free programs that allow you to save your individual setups of services and select them as required by name.
It's worth the effort.

Thanks for that link to pcmus.com, Walt. That looks like a very useful site.
