It's a nice performance of beautiful music, but I'm not sure that it has something to do with me :-)

Personally I'm not very good at classical music, although I started to appreciate it more just a few years ago.

Thank you for sharing!

There's nothing to be sorry about, it's nice to be thought of :-)

I just don't consider myself as a pianist, as I never had a formal training and generally my approach to playing is rather different. A world of classical music has its own values, some people can be very protective of that.

We can also see that on YouTube this content is not really popular - the pianist in the video above got less than 200 followers in 10 years.

Studying classical music is a hard work itself, with a lot of training, but I presume another challenge is to deal with the world outside of this classical circle. While during lots of competitions there's a lot of attention and rewardings, outside of this circle there's a lot of indifference.

Another thing is that although a pianist in an orchestra is always in the focus, it doesn't mean that playing other instruments (like violins) is less of a challenge.

I know a young woman who's a pianist, trained in a conservatory as well. She plays in restaurants. Says that it's frowned upon among teachers. She has to play almost all day/night long, running from one venue to another, and sometimes she's refused to have a free cup of tea.
