Thanks for sharing Mike, but no matter how good the sounds...a synth Workstation is not for me. Too much WORK to make any music.

Its to much synth for me... the fantom

Yamaha has every possible instrument inside..

The fantom currently only has pinao sounds and synth sounds..
Stepping back to the XV5080 era for their sample sounds..

To make it an allround workstation
Roland asap needs to add the super natural sounds
Which has great ORgans and many other natural sounds..

but thats not Rolands vision of this instrument..
Its an instrument thats mostly there to create new and fresh sounds and not those old sounds..
And yes that means a very well done new synth engine..

In general these sound comparissons don't say much about an instrument thats meant to create new sounds..
Both sound excellent.
