Scroll down to the speaker and click on it.
It is somewhat explained: Polypropylene diaphragm with excellent response provides crisp, high-quality tone, while a new diaphragm structure delivers balanced sound throughout a broad listening area.

The diaphragm reminds me of Bose wave technology.

But what about the angling towards the audience as described in the video?

Donny, you do not have to angle them toward the audience because of their disbursement angle, similar to the Bose technology where the coverage area is 210-degrees. Conventional speaker materials cannot accomplish this, but the polypropylene materials have a far greater frequency response and wider disbursement.

Hope this helps clear things up,

Gary.

SX Speaker distribution... Who's Conning Who !!!
Speakers facing up, that's were the sound is projected.
BOSE is a different ball game as they are Line Source Speaker.Speakers placed vertical in Line is the reason for the wide dispersion.

In other words it has a wide dispersion speaker system and possibly some DSP effect to further expand the image. (Its certainly nothing like the Bose system)

Sounds like everyone is just guessing here.
..I hope we can find the true answer once & for all somehow.

"SOUND SYSTEM: The PSR-SX900 has a 50w sound system (15w + 10w x 2) for a MASSIVE SOUND! The PSR-SX700's sound system is total 30watts (15w x 2). The PSR-SX900 speaker configuration is slightly different with the use of dome speakers for a fuller, enhanced sound."

Perhaps the grill openings allow more sound to slip through, due to the extra amps for the high end.

I thought maybe they extended the speaker grills further down over over the backside of the case to allow more forward projection.
