Jim,

What type of recording are you attempting? I just tried both a MIDI file and Audio file, and both were saved to the root folder of whatever drive I selected (via the Media) button before I started the recording process. Next, I created a new folder and selected that folder (again via the Media button) before starting the recording, and the file was saved to that folder.

Thanks Curt, I do the same way but sometimes I forgot to pre select the destination folder first before recording. . I thought there's a way to globally preset a destination folder.

Recoding is ALWAYS in the last folder you used or the unit is "pointing to" so in other words ... when you just turn on the keyboard, if you attempt to record, the recording will be in the root directory of the internal SSD (KETRON). That is the default power up folder it is linked to.

Now, if you go into say the MP3 folder and e.g. play a song, then come out of that and a few minutes later, you get a great idea and press RECORD and want to record a song, it will be created & saved in the MP3 folder.

If you later insert a USB stick, go into a folder called JIM on that USB drive and then minutes later, press the RECORD button, your song will be recorded into the USB drve - JIM folder.

Rule of thum ... always perss MEDIA, select and go into the folder you want your song to be recorded into, then EXIT and RECORD.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Thanks AJ, it would be nice though if you can globally assigned a "recording" folder so don't need to be concern where you last came from.
And yes, this helps.
