Just saw TWO Technics keyboards on display at my local dealer's store: a KN 2400 and a KN 2600. I have read about the 2600 here on the Forum, but little about the 2400. Can anyone briefly explain the difference(s)? Is one a variation/upgrade of the other (like the 6500 was an upgrade of the 6000)? I have a 7000, so my interest here is purely academic, but I am always interested in the last of the Technics instruments. Thanks for the info everyone.

KN2600 has SD card, KN2400 has floppy. Bill J

in addition 2600 has 40 extra sounds, modulation wheel, 40 extra music stylists, and a couple of extra watts output. The SD menu has many advantages as long as you have a method (pc and card reader) to transfer any existing data you may have.

What was the asking price of the 2600? I may go back to a Motor home and was thinking of using something smaller for travel and leave the 7000 at home.

From some of the posts, they are very cheap over the ditch.

I just got my kn2600 for 599 euro. The average price is in Europe 1299 euro. This was realy a bargain.
You can search on the net for technics kn2600 EU. It is the same one as the kn2600 but imported. What this realy means I don't know.
