I replaced my Pa800 with the Pa900 – then to a pa4x. Because of the weight I now have a Pa1000, which is very closed to the Pa700.

If the Pa700 is new, I would go in that direction. The Pa900 was a good keyboard, but it has years behind it.
Even if the Pa700 is used, then there is no contest.

But ---- none of this makes a difference. Like Donny said: It’s what sounds and feel good to you. You should listen to everyone, but the last choice is yours. If there is not a big price difference, I would buy a Pa1000, it offers more.

Its fun getting a new keyboard, John C..

Had the Pa900, now have the Pa700, from my personal experience, I believe the 700 offers more for me with my trio..also, kept having that issue with a note hanging on the 900.

Pa700, psr 775, vr09, numa2, modx8.

PA1000 Thin metal plates bonded under keys, small key improvements.
1000 Buttons Plastic...700 are rubber.
1000 Better larger Mid-Bass unit with separate dedicated tweeter
700 has smaller concentric Mid-Bass unit with small tweeter dome.
1000 has larger memory for Sampling.

Pa700 is best value but Pa1000 for me is worth paying extra because hopefully the many years of ownership the difference is minimal.

Careful I may be talking myself into a purchase...Ha!!!

scameron, I have owned a 900 for several years and am quite pleased with it ... can you tell me what the 700 offers over the 900?
Also, what is the "note hanging" issue on the 900?
Thank you

Isn't it: 1000 harmoniser, 700 no harmoniser? If you don't sing, then it's no biggie.

I guess it's the old persistent Korg snag that's cured with the SHIFT-START/STOP button manoeuvre.

Since I don't believe in a jinx, I'll say it ... I have never experienced that problem ...

This has been around forever. I've experienced it maybe three or four times in the eighteen years I've had with Korgs from i30 up to Pa3x, so hardly catastrophic. It seems to occur mainly if you've got naturally sustaining sounds in use - e.g. you might have an organ on first and second sounds, strings on the third, and a pad on the fourth slot. Add a bit on a sustain pedal and you'll likely induce the hanging note.

Using that sort of a combination of sounds is probably rarer than the 'hanging note' occurrence itself.
