Nice demos.....question:
.....am I missing something?..
what do these sounds have to offer vs what is already in the Pa4x already?

I‘m not so much into accordeons and e-organs, but some people care very much about variations in these areas. Special Austrian accordeons for example have a very special sound. For the organs, he obviously emulated the old „Klaus Wunderlich“ Wersi sound, which you probably won‘t find quite like this in the factory soundset...

Its like Rachel says, they offer a specific sound characteristic, like the "Kluas Wunderlich sound in the first 2 organs"

Or the typical Brass sounds in this video

You can certainly edit factory sounds also
to suit your needs Pa4x is a powerful tool.

Yes you can...
But some people prefer to buy finished high quallity sounds

Why do you think Yamaha sells so many expansion sounds?
Not everyone cares to make his own sounds

Its just like with styles
Some people make their own styles
Others edit their styles to their needs
While many just buy or trade styles with others.

Why else would Korg offer 3GB of sample ram?
As to allow people to buy new sounds?

As discussed in a recent threat, you can‘t create a different sample just by editing sounds; if I want to have the original sound of a Steirische Austrian accordeon, It‘s probably not possible to create it from a different accordeon sample just by applying a few filters and eq...
Happy Easter!

I realize that an accordion’s specific sound quality will probably matter most to people that have a vast knowledge of those particular instruments. To the lay person...tweaking an existing sample may be all that’s needed to satisfy the crowd. So, Donny does have a point.

I one recorded a jingle for an Indian Casino. The drums that I used to fill in the background were completely wrong according to the Tribal decision makers. So they sent 5 Native Indian dancers with their drums to the studio to satisfy their need for authentic drums. Needles to say...it was a disaster. They could not stay in tempo to save themselves.

Realizing this...I got the best takes I could get and sent them on their way. I then went to work sampling each of their drums and performed pretty much what my original track was, only using their drum samples. It was a little tricky...but they wrote the check.
