Hi guys
Can anyone tell what the difference between SD7 and SD60? Is there many new features in the new modell that you don't find in the SD7? I bought the Audya back in 2009, but after a couple years with only trouble, I sold it, I have been working with the Korg PA3X ever since. I feel I'm ready for something new, would love to have those Ketron styles again, nothing can beat them. But still a little nervous to end up like I did with the Audya. Ketron products are very expensive here so I better know what I'm doing. I can get a good pice on a SD7, the SD60 is very expensive, and no chance to play one. I may find a SD7 to try out.
Thanks!

Skude,
I bought two Ketron SD7 keyboards and had no problem with either of them. They were as dependable as any other keyboard I have owned. Right now I am using a Ketron SD40 module which is exactly like the SD7 and it too has been reliable. I sold both of my SD7s only because I often play two gigs a day at different sites and got tired of the heavy keyboards. Like you, I too am not comfortable with brand new products from any company and prefer those that have already had the OS updates needed to make them a real pro instrument.

Thanks for your reply. I find it vey difficult to decide what to buy next. Several top arrangers to choose from, but it's very important to me that it's reliable. I have also thought of using a module like the SD40, and go on with my PA3X. First I will see if I can find a SD7 to try. I will have to find out what to do so Santa can get things ready for Christmas.
Thanks!

Go for the SD60 - you'll have no regrets. It tops the SD7 by far.

Take a look at the specs for both. The biggest difference being touted is the launch pad feature. It depends on if you will use it, and if you're someone who likes to modify and makeup styles. If you're more of an out of the box guy and not into those features, the sd60 may not be worth the additional $$ over the sd7. Take a look at AJ's tutorials.

I have watched some of AJ's tutorials, and I have a few more to watch. I do a lot of style editing, mostly copy and past between styles om my PA3X. I used the style modeling feature on my Audya a lot, back then. I will spend some time on this. Thanks!
