For Harold and a few others.

I’ve been pretty happy with the PX560 as a home player...for me, definitely a step up from the DGX650 . Also, the 560 has midi and other connections the DGX 650 does not. Unlike the DGX650, this Casio is designed to be a gigging keyboard also light enough to haul around.

The 560 has 200 plus rhythms(styles) in 13 categories. In general, the rhythms are good but have only two variations. I’ve found at least one to two rhythms in each category that would be very useable at a gig.

Regarding tones(voices), the pianos, electric pianos, organs, woodwind, some brasses are quite good and would work at a gig. Many other categories of tones(such as guitars)are just not realistic at all without further tweaking.

One pleasant surprise is the Casio Music Forum. There are a number of forum members that are putting their created rhythms and tones for downloading on this. The forum is very active with info about the 560.

There is a sister forum for the PX5S, very active, and much of this info also applies to the 560.

In short, the 560 is very upgradeable in rhythms and tones.

The on-board speakers are very good and the 560 must have a good sound engine as my PA’s sound great hooked up to the 560.

The 560 won’t take the place of my Genos for gigs but is for me, for now, a fun home
keyboard. That said, the 560 does have the potential to be used at a gig.

It’s a lot of keyboard for $1,200 and if you look around, can be purchased for significantly less $$$.

Just thought I would share.

Thank You!...Thanks for the evaluation. All the reviews are very good. The u-tube reviews are excellent also, example Piano man chuck and Retail Stores reviews and Demos. You have fantastic gear so I respect your opinion on Sounds...Question is the Transpose easy and fast to use?...Also is the Hammer action keybed on the lighter, Middle or Heavy Level Touch? If You would like to PM Me privately I could use some Information on Best Price Location...Sincerely harold123

The wiggle test..That is the first thing I do...then stick my finger under the keys too it's a good indicator of what your getting
& quality build. You get what you pay for .. wink

I don't know about this particular keyboard, but I've played keyboards with that type of keybed. Some even make an extra click noise. It gets worse overtime. Just horrible!

If concerned about the keybed, you can always purchase something like this.

http://kawaius.com/product/mp11/

Problem is you’ll pay two to three times as much as the 560 and will be missing many of the features of the 560. 😊

I did read in one article that Casio uses the Fatar 100 keybed. Don’t know if that’s true or not.
