Hi,not long ago my audya 4 had os version 5.3D installed and everything was working fine except bass chanel connected via cubase had full velocity 127 and could not be changed (ketron bug)
Now i have installed the latest os 5.4c and a total disaster,””WHY”” well now it is impossible to play the machine because switching from style to style is very extremely slow and chokes noticeably with the ssd,so my gig last night did not go down well.
Yes the bass chanel is now fixed via cubase with the ability to change but now the most important thing is not there and that is ssd bogging down all because of a ketron so called improvement in the latest os 5.4c that is not true (KETRON GO BACK AND TEST YOUR OS AND MACHINES) not good enough

The only os that doesn’t slow down ssd is os 5.3d the os 5.4b and 5.4c are no good

Hi Rob,

I did notice same on my Audya - did not think it should bother me too much though. I guess playing live will present a problem as things need to change quickly on the fly.

Hi guys. I have Audya 4 with a Kingston 120GB SSD and I agree that OS 5.4c is a disaster. The best OS version for Audya 4 is 5.3D. I have tested last three versions and these are the results:
Os 5.3d ----> boot time (with my samples) 2.58
Os 5.4b ----> boot time (with my samples) 3.20
Os 5.4c ----> boot time (with my samples) 3.20
OS 5.4c is very slow and it lags switching from style to style. I had also a problem playing wav files. While the song played suddenly it stopped. Another big problem relevant to OS 5.4c is that while I was playing live the system stopped responding, I could not do anything and I had to turn off Aydya 4 and open it again.
It is very disappointing from Ketron. Ketron must find a solution and test OS versions in depth.

5.4C might be slower, but it loads everything in much more detail. It plays my HIQ styles flawlessly. 5.3D does NOT!!! - it stops the style right after the intro.

I am perfectly happy with OS 5.4C as is. I just tried your suggestion & re-installed 5.3D. However, I switched back to 5.4C IMMEDIATELY after the results as stated above.

Hi Henni. What version of Audya have you got (Audya 4, Audya 5, etc) ? Have you got an SSD installed or the original IDE hard disk?

I think in this post Rob is talking about Ketron Audya 4 with SSD and not Audya 76 with SSD. The OS is different from a model to another. Probably OS 5.4C works fine for Audya 76 as you told Henni, but the same version on Audya 4 has many problems.

Hi,For me the O/S 5.4c is working very good with my Audya5
No more corrupted styles has with the O/S 5.3b
In my hard disk (original)80gig and many and many folders
no problems since this upgrade
very satified with my audya5

As I mentioned on my post the latest audya 4 os is a disaster and stay as that untill resolved and i can see ketron audya 4 has done his own testing and is legit.
To all ketron owners (keep in mind) that all models are different when it comes to operating systems and can not be comperable and not to forget to mention i used to own a ketron audya 5 also and have experience in both machines and i can tell you they are different
