Hi Gunnar,

Tried to send you a private message but not doing one before it wouldn't send.

A couple of years ago, you told me about a good program, Musescore 2 that I downloaded and used for music writing. I have composed a large arrangement in the KN7000 and am wondering if I make a midi of it, can I copy all the parts in the program? I haven't used the program for a long time but it seems I remember that you can do this if it comes from a midi file. I have never made a midi file of my work. If this will work, I would appreciate very much if you would tell me how to do this.

All the best,

Mark

Hi Mark.

It's sure long time ago since I took a peek at Musescore, but i never used it much for anything else than a littlebit of testing.
If I remember it correctly, it is possible to import a midifile as well as export, but again, to be 100% sure about it I have to look into the software again.
Don't have it at my new PC.

Here is a link that may be useful:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/midi-import

here is 'handbook' index
https://musescore.org/en/handbook
and some tutorials
https://musescore.org/en/tutorials
and 'how to'
https://musescore.org/en/howto

Hope this is for any help, but maybe some others here are more experienced with this software than I am.

Also if you Google 'import midi to musescore' you'll fins some videos and stuff.

Why PM don't work I dont know, I'll look into my preferences to see if any settings are not as it should be.

Good luck, all the best from the west coast of Norway.

Hi GJ,

Thanks for your suggestions. There is also someone on YouTube that discusses Musescore. Questions can be asked. A couple of years ago when I had a question I got an answer. It has been so long that I thought I would contact my original source, you. smile

Thanks, again -

Mark
