Currently in Holland its the hotest summer ever, to hot to do anything meaningfull, except grilling every night and drinking bear and cocktails. I can’t motivate myself to go inside and make some music.. i think we havent seen any rain here since early May
So how is the summer in other parts of the world?

Last week we broke the record high temperature for the date four days in a row. Between 104 and 107. It's a little better this week though. Still hot in Louisiana!

Yeah that heat wave last week was a killer! Got up 110 here in Dallas. Now that’s back to the high 90’s it feels like a cold snap has hit us- LOL. The western portion of the US is up in flames and it’s flooding in the east. Crazy!

Here in Maryland, USA, we had the rainiest July in recorded history, while temperatures were normal for this time of year. Now, in this 3rd day of August, the forecast is for more rain and seasonal temperatures. No heat wave, but when the humidity is equal to the temperature, which is often the case this time of year, it becomes very difficult for those of us with bad lung conditions.
All the best,
Gary

Don't think of it as global warming, think of it as a marketing opportunity.....to sell refrigerators to the Eskimos. Oh, and those record breaking temperatures; all fake news....although it would be ironic if the Interior Secretary got eaten by a starving polar bear. But, who're you going to believe, Fox News or your lying eyes.

In New England and in Rhode Island it's been one of the hottest months of July I remember. We have never had to run the AC everyday all the time but for the last 5 weeks it's been running non-stop. What's weird is that the temps in Central Florida where we spend quite a bit of time it's been a bit cooler there than in Rhode Island.

Chas, you gotta' get out more. No one mentioned climate change, global warming, global cooling, weather instability, or any of the other catch phrases. Why bring politics into this, though a lying politician is working on his second billion with this hoax. Just follow the money, as the saying goes.
Don't take my word for it, though - I'm just a crippled up, retired, dumbass entertainer that can't play music worth a damned. But, like Al Gore, I sure fooled a lot of folks into believing I was a great musician.
Take a look at Lots of good information here, but you probably still believe Al Gore is right.
Almost forgot this one, which is equally as informational.
Good luck,
Gary

Yeah, but look at your gifts; you're an acclaimed climatologist. However you do need to work on your self-esteem. But in any case, I thought climate was about science, not politics, and I think I'm going to go with the 95% of the scientific community, politics be damned. And oh yeah, too bad about poor Al Gore. Heck, if he'd won we probably would have missed out on that wonderful Iraq war. So, what's on the grill tonight, Bambi?

Lobster basted with garlic butter and Old Bay Seafood Seasoning on the grill tonight, Chas - you missed out on a great dinner. Good thing my grill is on my covered deck, though, rained like Hell most of the evening and the outside temperature is just 72 degrees.
Not a climatologist, but I did take an Aerology course in the US Navy, which I would think you would have as well, and I slept in a Holiday Inn Select in several states. Does that count?
