Re. Music stand on KN6xxx/7000 Technote have just announced that an improved one will be available in July. They say it is wider but not by how much, but looking at the illustration in the June/July issue of Techplus magazine, I would say it could accomodate about 4 page width. It is not just a frame like the current one, it's made from solid dark, smoked acrylic material. It uses the existing frame from the KN stands - you just detach the tray and then fix the new stand to the frame. However, this does not solve the problem of the distance between the player's eyes and the music sheet, on the KN7000
Prices quoted - UK £39.99 US $49.99

Hi Bill

Yes I have seen the new stand in this months magazine, but as you have said it only lengthens the tray or 4 sheets, I would like to see some ajustment to tilt it forward so that the music is more readable, especialy
if you have some of the music in plastic sleeves as the light shines on the plastic and you cannot see the print. I have tried using wire coat hangers on the current stand ,it does the job but does not look nice .
Anybody any ideas.?

Regards
Brian

One of my keyboard stands holds three keyboards. I took the top two keyboards off and replaced the middle keyboard with a sheet of plywood and then tilted it to the max for the music.
I think you could makeup something to attach similiarly to your keyboard stand to hole the music. Think about it

I read about the new music stand in the latest Techplus and was very interested, until I realised that in addition to postage and packaing etc. we in the UK are being asked to pay £10 more than in the states (as usual) $49.99 equates to £30 not £39.99.!!

Even if you take the UK VAT at 17.5% out of the price it's still just over £34
