Hal,

Thanks for the tip on the Hasselblad, but I don't think I'll be in line to qualify. I too have purchased most of my gear from B&H. Nice gallery of photos you have! Enjoy that Genos!

Nice pics Steve - those old cars and their hood ornaments are incredible.

to ME, it is obvious that it all has to do with the creative gene ... so many people in fine arts - music, painting, sculpting, photography, creative writing, theater, etc. - excel in more than one discipline ...
My wife - who is also talented in music - and I have many of our paintings hanging on the walls of our home and people are most often surprised to hear that we did them ...
Many years ago I was also far more involved in photography than I am today ... my favorite camera at the time was a totally manual Minolta SRT 201 ... then it was a Nikon FE2 35mm which has not seen the light of day in YEARS, a Sony digital ( I love the Carl Zeiss lenses ), and now it's a Nikon D3300 ...
The photos linked to in the above posts are beautiful ...
Maybe this thread will get be to shoot some more this year ...
thank you for posting

since we are so far South from Genos almost near Antarctica I thought I'd drop this in too what the heck crazy ....I thought cameras were obsolete and all use a cell phone now..iPhone 8, Galaxy S9, etc,...seems that way..

From what I've read the so-called "pocket camera " market has fallen on its face due to great smartphone cameras. There's a saying "the best camera is the one with you." It's true I don't always have my Canon and I've gotten plenty of great photos with my iPhone.

Drop-dead gorgeous. I'd like to say I'm not jealous but I can't smile smile.

Fantastic! Takes time and energy to have a nice site like you have.

Hal...a very high skill level. From the resolution, looks like 20 plus meg. Many are good examples of where a view camera (with bellows) would have been an improvement. When you look at the fence photo and the buildings; especially the wide ones, the right and left sides would have been perfectly parallel if the tilts and swings were adjusted properly. That's a "must" for top level architectural or product photography. Some adjustment is possible with Photoshop, but you can only adjust one way, not both up and down and sideways like you can with a view camera.

Best work I've seen posted in a long time!

Russ
