If the sound is stereo sampled, then by all means, stereo is the only way to go in order to obtain the full depth of the sound. However, if the sound was not stereo sampled, there is absolutely no benefit whatsoever. Keep in mind that when you attend a large concert, everything is in mono. Same as when a big band is on stage and all the instruments are mic'd up - it's a wonderful experience, at least from my perspective, and everything is in mono. In real life, the person that benefits most from stereo is the performer - not the audiences. All the best, Gary
