I have had my Genos for 5 months Aprox and Still no fix for the Song player.

sonicly it great OS need lots of work I have been told that there working on it but I am starting to get pissed here .

song next not there song list very unusable

i use lot of Midi's when I play and the song Next dose not work try having 100 plus poeple on the dance floor and i go to pick another song
in the middle of the one that is playing because i want to keep the croud going and it stops my song in it tracks and goes to the next song

970 T4 T5 all have a song next hell prob the cheep one do too how could they not have this in the Genos and before one of you recomend me to build a song list if you do that it will not work with the markers just getting me Pissed off

i got call into Yamaha and I need this fixed os 2.0 does not fix the issue.

Korgs dual player is great for that.... Hope they get enough complaints to fix it someday Ron... that said why not just record your smf songs to MP# and use a laptop..

You saying this function worked ok in the prior keyboards, but has a bug that stops it functioning correctly in the Genos?

Is there possibly another way around it? Surely you couldn’t be the only person using this function. Have you checked the Yamaha forum.

Not terribly impressive if they haven’t fixed a bug after all these months.

This is so typically not Yamaha

Sure Yamaha is allways thin on new features in their keyboards..
But i never ever remember having encountered a bug on them..

Out of curiosity....

As I looked at the song player on Genos, one player was labeled audio player and the other player was labeled midi file player.

On the PA4X, if I remember correctly, both players were MP3 players.

Makes me wonder if Genos was designed to fade in and out of songs on the song player?

Might not even be close here on this issue...??

Not sure "cross fading" is even on genos?....
going between "TWO Different Source players Mp3/Smf Formats" is gonna work on genos?....
I could be wrong?.....

I don’t know if Genos could cross fade either? In my case, I wouldn’t have a use for that.

I can tell that it's possible to crossfade between audio and midi files on PSR-S950.

My Issue is not with cross fade althow i think it is also a problem

cross fading 2 audio is not what I do midi to midi cross fade would be nice

but not possable at this time too I have reported this also another pisser

my issue is in song mode or song player

when a song is playing i want to arm another song to start 5 seconds after the end of another song T4 T5 PSR ALL DO IT

but no Genos does not

if you arm a song during Midi play back BANG your song ends

and so does you audience .

how could they over look this Every keyboard for the last 15 years has this.

song List allows you to do it but it is lame song list does not allow you to use Markers

a very usful tool for dances

how many times have any of you guys had dancers get up min the middle of a song

if you are using a MP3 wave or Midi woth out markers you are screwed

so song list puts songs in order but no marker and very limited

it is a software fix come on Yamaha fix this

i do play styles but i am playing A Guitar singing in audience ect so i do not want to be tied to keyboard .

If the problem becomes insolvable I will buy the GENOS and pick it up.
