Looking forward to trying this feature. How does it really work and who has super quality midi files? I have a ton of old stuff that don't sound too impressive.

It actually works pretty well, but you must have good midi files to start with. The Tune 1000 files work very well. You may want to edit the finished product a little, but that's easy to do.

Do you edit through the 4X sequencer and save it back to a style?

The actual conversion process is extremely fast and easy. Just press a button and it converts and creates the style, complete with intro, variations, endings, fills, etc.
The way I edit it, is to simply make changes, say to drum kits, background sounds...then save to Songbook entry. It doesn't change the original style.
Yes, you could go into the sequencer and make ANY changes you like.

I have uses it some, and also find it quite good and easy using my Tune 1000 files, as Don said, but also play over the muted files because it is so easy to dial in the melody track and read the melody notes with the Pa4X.
