I was in a Broadway Mood so I fired up my Roland EA7 selected
EPIC MOVIE Style which has an Amazing long Intro & Ending. What I also enjoy is that the same Intro & Ending is different depending if you Play it in a MAJOR key or MINOR key!.....what I have done is recorded the same Intro & Ending on my Roland EA7 in
BOTH Major & Minor keys and listen to the differences of both, I think you will enjoy it!...

I realise these are both stock intros, but I had the misfortune to listen to these after that performance of 'Somewhere' by Pete Shaw on his Pa4x.

That's not to knock the EA-7, and it may not be comparing apples to apples. There is a difference in price after all.

Exactly my point at 3x the price LESS then a KORG Pa4x or Genos etc, ....Roland styles have very unique intricacies driven by the chord structure played major or minor,.... I know there are not many Roland fans here on SZ but that's ok,...who are we to judge right?..

The old Roland orchestral expansions from the 90s SR-JV02 and 16 and SRX 06 would blow these sounds away completely... Really not a good advertisement of the E-A7.

Can't really tell the quality on IPad speakers but it is an impressive Arrangement. on a gig You could take a nap while that's playing

Nice!

But as you know, this is not any new feature at all, it is, and has been like this at many keyboards for a long time, not only at Rolands.
Some styles has huge difference between major and minor intros, others not as much.
Another fine thing is that the different intros sometimes can be great as bridges etc. smile

Korg does that. Still, it was very pretty. There's a lot to like about the EA7 at that price point.
I remember making styles on the Korg PA80, and there were SO many variations and options, in both major and minor keys. I made a few styles but it would have taken days to make one and completely use all the options.
