When I was much younger, I watched the winter Olympics religiously. I really enjoyed watching the figure skating events, ski jumping and bob sledding. Now I tend to be in the same category as Chas, drifting off during the Luge.  All the best, Gary

Just so that you get things in perspective  THE NETHERLANDS 1 NO mountains at all 2 NO Hills, (with the exception of a few inthe very southeast) 3 SNOW, on average snow every four or five winters. For no more then 3 – 4 weeks, with 10 –20cm tops !! 4. ICE. ( misconception worldwide. Many mild winters with no significant ice. Every four to five years a period of max.3- 4 weeks during which there is enough ice to do some skating.)
