Check out this video! This is a very nice Jazz brass band and they just might surprise you. What a nice live band sound huh? Nothing like the real thing right? It's in German but there's no language barrier when it comes to music. I'm not sure if this has been posted before but here goes...

All the best,

Mike

Mike ya did it – I almost turned it off. At 4:30 am I was not in the mood for this type of jazz. When I saw it was a keyboard I smiled and my mood did change.
What a way to demo a keyboard; it took away all the keyboard comparing. I listened with a different frame of mind. Surprised Surprised

If I buy one it will be your fault. (smile) Do you have a Genos yet?

Yeah John, I bought my second Genos about a week and a half ago. I returned the first Genos due to a hardware issue.. the internal flash drive became corrupted due to the Auto Shut Off feature not functioning properly. It shut the keyboard off when I was in the process of transferring files to the User drive. Long story short I returned it and about 3 weeks later Guitar Center received another Genos in stock so I scrambled down to San Diego (La Mesa to be exact) and bought that one which is the one I have now. FWIW, I disabled the Auto Shut Off feature until such a time that Yamaha hopefully addresses the issue in an OS update.

PS: The video was very interesting huh. I too thought it was the Jazz band doing the playing but after it was revealed it was really the Genos playing it astounded me that a keyboard could sound so good. If the goal is authenticity then Yamaha hit a home run with the Genos. Simply amazing.

All the best,

Mike

Sounds amazing, especially the Sax sound. Very clever advertising

Wow - what a way to do a demo! Have to say this may be the most "convincing" demo to date! Genos is a rocker! Wow....

Too late for Santa this year.... wow.

If the 110 of you who viewed this post did not watch the video... you should definitely give it a whirl! Wow!

Hats off to the "band" who rocked it out at this gig! bluesbros
