The multi pads on my Genos do not change when selecting a factory
style unless the OTS Link is selected .... is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
I do not have freeze selected for multipads by the way.

Also is there a way to just have the drums playing in drum set up
when editing and not the whole style?

One last thing ... anyone here from the UK got a Ketron SD9?
If so could I contact you .

Thanks for any replies .... and best wishes to everyone for the holiday.

OTS has nothing to do with Multi Pad's.For all what you want to do is a solutions and that is :REGISTRATION!!!
Please read Reference guide for your Genos. There you can fined all answer's for your question's.

Dusan .....
Firstly not everybody uses registrations in the same way.
Secondly I have read the reference guide and not found an answer to these two questions.
On my Genos when I select a factory style the multipads do not load unless OTS Link is lit so it definately does have something to do with it.
You sound a bit angry in your reply so I apologise if my questions have offended you.
Happy Chritmas to you too.

Tom
Thanks for pointing that out.
I was hoping I had missed something in my set up so
I could have the multipads load without OTS link becuse
I do not use the one touch settings as I use registrations just for my own sound combinations.
Thanks again.

JD, there are lots of options at your disposal, and as stated above and on the PSR Tutorial, the multi-pads are liked to the OTS and stored within the style file itself.

Option #1 - You can create your own custom style with your own OTS and multi-pads right on the keyboard, and using the onboard style. It's very easy to do.

Option #2 - Use a registration to select the items you wish, including your own, custom voices.

Option #3 - Store your custom voices in the User Voice area, where they can be quickly and easily accessed.

There are probably more options available, but these immediately came to mind.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Hi Gary
Thanks for the reply.
I am aware of all the options you mentioned but what I was asking was can the factory styles when selected load the multipads that are written within them without the OTS Link button being lit (selected)
Thanks again ... and best wihes.
John.

No, can't be done because of the way they are linked and stored.

Wish I had better news, though,

Hi JDX,
It was not my intention to be condescending, so I apologize if my answer came across like that. I just thought the PSR forum responded so quickly with good answers. I just recently have a Yamaha keyboard and found out that the PSR Tutorial forums is a very friendly an helpful community, that also generously shares resouces among it's members.

I didn't notice the Multipads behavior you mentioned myself yet, so I did a little test on my T4. Indeed when a style is selected, the factory assigned Multipads only load after selecting an OTS. A registration behaves much like an OTS and makes a direct link to the Multipad. It is not a strange question at all and it appears you're not the first to ask, because I found quite a few threads on PSR forum on the subject. This is a nice and clear explanation: http://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php/topic,1179.msg5173.html#msg5173

Happy holidays!

Tom
