Roland EA7 DUAL Displays really makes a lot of sense now that I have a chance to utilize it in a real playing situation. I can keep the left screen open with all the traditional arranger info style, tempo, key, ots, etc,....and keep the right screen open with your User "Favorites" sound page which lists all my "goto" sounds this makes it so easy when playing too and you don't have to create time consuming OTS setups letting you just pick and choose what ever sound you desire when playing a sound in real time right off the display nice touch Roland and a great DUAL screen concept that I am now a big fan of. Yes the screens are a bit smaller then most but bright and crisp for viewing but you have TWO displays which function cohesively that's the beauty of it...
Or you can with just touch the UPG button change the Favorites screen to the UPG directory to see all your Song Titles instantly, or access you USB drive with thousands of styles, SMF, Mp3s also,...the EA7 has an amazing button and slider layout "navigationaly" just perfect for the LIVE player,....everything is where it should be for very easy access,.......more to come I am finding so many goodies as I dig into the EA7. I'm blown away at what is aboard this Arranger keyboard!

The E-A7 is a great keyboard especially considering the cost. But the displays were one reason I got rid of it. Too small for me-I was hunched over the screens trying to see them and made my bad neck worse. I ended up propping the keyboard up on a piece of foam and that helped. I like the screen on the PA900-day and night to me. You are right though, E-A7 dual screens do have their uses and I do miss the sliders.

Donny,
Is the EA7 compatible with all the Roland legacy styles?

Hi.
No problems when load any Roland styles into BK7-m so far, and my guess is that they will work fine at EA7 as well.
BK7-m sounds real good, even better than I remember it from my Roland experienses in the past.
Styles play great and I'm sure EA7 at least sound equal, or maybe better?

Deane so far I have had no problems with the EA7 playing with any other Roland kb styles that I've tried, so your answer is definitely YES!.....

I knew you would like the Roland. I liked it a lot but not as much as the Korg. Of course it is about 1/3 the price so that is to be expected. As you know I decided to return it, but it has some really great styles, sounds and features!
All the old styles I tried in it worked fine. A little tweaking necessary on some, but it's easy to do. FestiRock may be my favorite style on any keyboard, usable for a wide range of songs! You probably have it somewhere.
