Sudclaviers im france did 2 nice comparisson video’s

http://keyszone.boards.net/thread/490/tyros-5-sound-genos

One for sounds, the other for styles
And despite the picture showing a T3, you hear the T5.

Now really is it worth the money for the slight difference you hear?

I will decide on that in about 6 months..
If we have more insight on the Genos..
And you can make better deals for a good price..

Its not a question i ask myself at this moment..

What i do know however, is the fact that a huge part of the things that make the pa4x so special, are non excistqnt on the Genos. What i dislike most is that i dont have 4 sepperate fill buttons..and things like that.. or the very nice drum edit mode on pa4x.. and the easy accesible chord sequencer i use daily.. or.. or.. or... quite a lot..

And what has Genos got o offer that i like..
- the huge collection of yamaha styles..
- free play styles
- the ensemble voices..
- the wersi organ flutes..
- better acoustic sounds..

But is the sound quallity so much better... its time for some toe to toe comparisson.

The time has come that many of these keyboards sound amazing...the days of the newest, the best, I gotta have are over,...we have reached a pinnacle of sound and styles that can accommodate any genre & situation pro or at home in you living room etc,.....convincing yourself otherwise is fruitless and just an ego booster that goes on & on & on for reasons the buyer doesn't even know why? IMO....and afer a few weeks wonder why also,.......everyone keeps changing Kbs but how much are people improving their playing technic instead of hoping the NEW Kb will do that for them,......
have fun out there.....it took me a while but I've made my choice and glad I did ..

Very similiar to what I found as bait, and even if Genos sounds better at demovideos than any Tyros, I feel Korg sounds more realistic. (As Ketron)
Much are probably possible to adjust, but my big question is if the big price gap up from PA4X-76 is worth it as long as there already is a Tyros 4 in the house.

Many say the T4 was the best Tyros KB of the series ask Sz's Ian and listen to some of his fantastic T4 songs....
enjoy it can sound really amazing if you dig in and make it the way you want for sure,...thats said KORG offers so many quality features in an arranger and yes I agree it sounds very live as does Ketron also...

Finally got to play the Genos this week. First impressions – the new keyboard certainly has a new clarity about it, probably an improved DAC. The black finish looks a bit more pro and it's a bit better size, though still a bit bigger than it really needs to be. The touch screen is nice and big, but does require firm handling.

Other than that...it sounded like a Tyros to me.
