Yeah, G-70 is a great keyboard, buildt as a tank and heavy duty,
I regret I sold mine a couple a years ago, same as SD1. Miss both, but still cannot stop dream about a Technics/Ketron mix.
Techtron or Kethnics mix would probably blow the rest away......
....or maybe not. confused

But to at least be able to play all my Roland styles as well as "best of Roland" stuff enclosed, I bought a BK-7m w/FC-7 at local eBay tonight.
Hopefully it will work well connected to my Akai MPK61, KMA or even T4.
We'll see when it get here... confused

why not a BK9?

Good question.
Has been watching for a long time, and nothing to see at local "ebay" or in Scandinavia.
Got this stuff at a very low price, and the module will probably fit well for vArranger if I buy later.
Or a midi Accordeon .....

Impuls cool

Its typically Yamaha Design..
Just have a look at the Montage 8
Thats really really huge..

As a homeplayer, i dont care about weight or size
The Genos looks great, visually.
But there is 2 thinks that are important in a keyboard
Sound and functionallity

WAY too big for most of my stages. Wouldn't even fit in the trunk of my Ford Fusion! Not that I WANT it to!

Yeah me too!
I would be first in the queue for a Technics / Ketron, and wouldn't even care about the price.
Still some sounds on my KN7000 that are unmatched by any board after all these years and some styles that I cannot manage without.

I think the size is fine...I am a home player...18: deep is not that much...take a measure tape & pull it to 18:...not that bad.

As to Korg vs Yamaha....I know its conversed all the time...but for the music I like and play...the Yamaha has sounds and styles that fit that music much better.
BUT, the last Korg I had was PA2XPRO. It had a lot of poor quality sound issues...if they fixed them all...then well OK.

I have always thought Yamaha arrangers have a nice sweet sound...Just saying....IMHO

So the Genos is around 4" smaller in width and only about 1/4" in depth, but 3 kgs or over 6lbs lighter than the TYROS 5 76 keyboard; who would have guessed??
