... cant wait till the day where he buys a Genos or the next MOTL Yam... we all know its going to happen. Go easy on my boy. He's lonely, now that he's a bit more than semi-retired. He needs another hobby to take him OFF the computer, now that he's not playing as much. He makes me crazy too, with his instant praise posts, but he's got a good heart, and he means well. He just needs to breathe, and count to 10 (thousand) before posting about the next, greatest, most AMAZING thing he loves the mostest, for all eternity, and beyond!

Yeah, just an extended form of 'youthful enthusiasm', also known in some circles as 'immaturity'. But nothing wrong with that; better that than losing all interest in things that were always so important to us. Retirement or even semi-retirement can leave a HUGE space if one has not developed alternative activities to occupy the time usually reserved for work. If one has always been active on social media (including specialty forums), it's not unusual that that activity would increase in retirement or semi-retirement. But isn't that better than slipping off into despair, loneliness, and social oblivion? Maybe their level of participation may seem excessive or even mildly annoying to some of us, but looking at the big picture, is that their problem or ours? I kid Donny a lot but not maliciously 'cause I know that at his core he IS a good guy and that his actions and intentions ARE well-meaning. Truth is, I think his posting HAS slowed down a bit recently; I need to do the same. chas
