I'd pick a LD Maui 5 instead of the PAAS for around the same price much better bass and more flexible for sure..

Donny if am correct the LD Maul 5 looks like my Bose compact. The Paas will not take any floor room giving me space for another toy.

Thanks my friend, John C.

IMO much better then the compact especially the newer model Maui 5 with wireless capabilities,.....that said...vs the PAAS it gives you more flexibility in a very small footprint and much more bass the the Pass. I remember UDave had a PAAS and dumped it quickly after ....good luck.

This quote suggests that I had a negative impression of the PAAS - I only "dumped" it because of a design flaw that prevented it from doing what I needed it to do, which was an unconventional use of the KB ... something I'm often doing. The unit is awesome, and I SO wanted to keep it. It just couldn't fill my wish list. I'd love to have one in a studio environment.

The "flaw" is that signals fed into the LINE inputs do not get amplified in the PAAS if you use the Mic input. The only way you can hear outboard gear thru the speaker is if you use the L&R line ins, removing the Mic pre from the signal chain. That's a no-no for me.
