This song was first recorded by Gordon Lightfoot, but the absolute best rendition was performed by Glenn Campbell, to which Lightfoot eluded after hearing Campbell's version. This is my version, which is nowhere near as good as Campbell's, and I must say it was the most difficult song I have tackled in decades.
