Personally I'm not going to switch, amazing or not.
I will more likely just add a PA4X and keep what I already have. Why?
Because I regret very much I sold what I had instead of build a larger keyboardstack and just keept all of them.
Technics KNs, Kertron SD1, Roland E series and G70......
All great stuff!

Donny,
For me buying a different keyboard is just that - it's different. For the last 10 years I have played 5 to 6 Senior Venue gigs weekly playing just about the same 100 songs because that is what they ask for and enjoy. It reminds me a lot when I was traveling with various big bands. Most of them had a book of about 100 songs that we played night after night. Why, because that is what the dancers came to hear.

Anyway, it is nice to have a little different sound to those same old songs. Regarding the T5 replacement, it will have to be very very good and much different from the T4 I now have. Frankly, I have been very happy with my Ketron SD7 and so has my audiences.

My last Yamaha keyboard was the PSR 9000 then I switched to Korg since then so am ready for a change and see what Yamaha has up its sleeves this time with the "GENOS''. If by any chance not what I expected I might end up getting the PA4X. Been holding off waiting to see the genos first.

At some point you have to say enough is enough...!

Who even knows if the new allegedly call Genos won't be too "Montagesquely" enhanced technology wise for the average arranger KB player?...why spend so much money on features you would never use?
This is going to be a very interesting reveal for sure....
can't wait till the fireworks fly!! keys

For me, it's all in the sound, specs, my needs, and form factor.

My current performance board, the Korg Pa4X, fits my current situation. If the "New Yamaha" has what I think I need, I will jump in. I am missing the functionality of my internal sequencer of my Motif XF. Easy to use and FX were routed for me. I got good sounding sequences quickly.

I can't wait!!! But not getting my hopes too high!!

What new features will really be new and usable on the new Genos?
It will have to be really different for most to buy it.

Price will certainly be a major factor. Next month should show
us what the Genos is all about. Korg is hot right now and offering new boards before Genos shows its stuff. Interesting
times ! Lloyd

I doubt this...

With the dollar being much closer to the euro as at the release of the tyros5, i guess prices will be much closer to our euro prices..

In europe most dealers expect a priceraise of aprox €300

This would mean
61 keys €4300
76 keys €4500
88 keys €4800

Thats witouth the new speakers and amplification, but including sales
Taxes(20% in most countries)
