Audiobus, is what makes the ipad such a versatile thing when it comes to using it as a host for aditional sounds... its both an audio router as wel as a midi router.. its easy to operate with huge results.. this is one of the things OSX has to offer above windows..

Talking about open mind, the other day I jammed together with a bass player who plays "metal." I know that he doesn't represent the whole metal players, but he really didn't know much. He ended up asking me to play classical stuff. So I played a Mozart for him. I think the jamming helped him open his eyes for more traditional stuff that he had perhaps thought boring...

Btw, you forgot to open up your ears when it comes to music! Sorry. I couldn't resist it. Kidding aside, I agree with Bachus the IOS may not do some of the full desktop stuff, but since it is a more app based device than PCs, depending on the app, it is extremely fast, handy, effective, and efficient.
