Hi,

I just got this Yamaha style. I'm doing " This Magic Moment" with it. Yamaha says the style is based on Neil Sadaka's "Oh Carol"
There's so many songs from the early 60's this style would work great for. There is one song in particular that I'm hearing in my head but the lyrics/title is escaping me. Maybe with a few recommendations it will come to me. So what tunes would you use this style for?

So many rhumba-esq possibilities:
Diana
Travelin' Man
Some Kind Of Wonderful (Drifters)
(actually lots of the Drifter's tunes can use this)
Little Darlin' (Diamonds)

Caveat:
I play many of my own bass lines without the auto stuff happening, so a simple, generic drum pattern can be very versatile for me. If you leave the auto parts on, the style tends to sound more song specific. Try shutting off the lead instruments in the accompaniment, and it will wear more musical hats for you!

Goes well with "Diana" by Neil Sedaka also "poetry in motion".

As UD said, the list is quite extensive. The style you purchased is pretty much the same as the Bubblegum Pop and 60s guitar pop styles that is already in your keyboard.

Here are a few that immediately came to mind:

Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You
Dream Baby
Dream Lover
It Never Rains In Southern California
knock Three Times
Lemon Tree
Kokomo
Magie May
The Night Has A Thousand Eyes
On Broadway
Runaway
Save The Last Dance For Me
See You In September
This Magic Moment
Ticket To Ride
Traveling Man
Under The Boardwalk
When You Dance

Uncle Dave got it! It was "Little Darling" Thanks, it was starting to bug me that I couldn't recall the song I had in my head.

I'll check out the other suggestions too.

Somewhere in my archives, I have a song specific style for Little Darlin. It will take me a few days to find it, though.

For some reason, beyond my control, I cannot find the Little Darlin style, however, I did come across the Dianna style which is very close, but a slightly different intro. It is attached and for Yamaha keyboards.

Enjoy,
