Played a birthday party today...50 folks or so, mostly, but not all, seniors, medium sized room.

I was so impressed with my 4X and the SSV.3...wonderful sound. Most all stuck around afterwards. All said they loved the sound.

My 4X was great...with a few exceptions...mostly voices.

Accordion. The accordion voice on my 4X seems to change with every style. The accordion(that's the voice I use) just isn't realistic regardless of PA or headset. Problem is,I rely on the accordion voice.

There are no second or third voices...I mute them.

So if I don't mess with editing the accordion voice from style to style, why would the accordion voice sound change from style to style?

By the way, the best accordion voice I've heard from an arranger is Ketron followed by Yamaha.

Probably because of the EFX used in the styles that could change the overall sound of the accordion in the mix itself,......have you gone into the sound editor and made changes to correct this and get the sounds you want, eq, etc, etc,

guitpic1 ... couldn't you edit the accordion sounds as Donny suggests and save it in 'USER SOUNDS' and then replace the accordion sounds in any style with YOUR saved accordion?

Is the Space Station really that good?

My last three gigs, I used my pair of Yamaha DXR10 powered speakers with the Pa4X. I mostly use my grand piano sound during gigs. The thing I noticed was the low sustain pedal effect they use as part of the sample. I'm the only one who noticed it but I need to fix it internally on the Pa4X. You should look into editing the accordion sound... you'll be happier.

I never thought of bringing my JBL EON One. My Pa4X stereo piano sound doesn't sound so good thru the JBL. But the Yamaha pair sounds great! So, I got the EON One for my solo gigs but I don't like the sound I get with any keyboard.

Maybe I should be looking at the space station v3. I might need the sell the EON with the castor case!!

Be sure to get one that you can return if you don't like it. I tried hard to like it but didn't at all!
Others love it.
If you want good bass, you'll need a sub with it.

I'm only turning 44 this coming August... I should be able to carry two 10" powered speakers for at least 20 more years!! And for my enjoyment, stereo is king. Heck, we have 2 ears!!

Thanks for the advice... I need to listen before I invest!!

Donny and Tony tx for the suggestion. I really need to delve deeper into the editing on my 4X.

Tx again. I'd love to develop a good accordion and good steel guitar on my 4X.

Love the sound of both my SSV.3 and JBL Eon One with my 4X. Don't know about the stereo thing but the sound is rich and full to my ears.

I'll give the EON One another chance. Worked great for a DJ gig I did. Thanks for your endorsement.
