The little girl on trumpet is outstanding.....if the computer technology world never came to be kids today would be playing and learning instruments more like we did .......oh well.

The girl in the first video is Andrea Motis, now about 21 years old. The group is a from Spain. My wife and I got to see her live in Barcelona about 4 years ago with the jazz ensemble - she is very much for real. She travels all over now and plays at just about every venue in her part of the world. Two years ago they were in the States but we were not able to get to where she was performing. The man in the videos runs a music school and produces dozens of these kids who play like they have been playing for 50 years. Go to youtube and type in her name and you will find dozens of videos of her shows and the young players too.

Andrea Motis' videos have been on these pages before ... she and all the other youngsters in this school possess talent beyond their years, and it is Joan Chamorro's genius that pulls it out of them ... and they get to play with GREAT musicians ...

Yes, I saw that early on ... I also commented in earlier posts that she has a Billie Holiday/Amy Winehouse kind of sound ... and that accent of hers only enhances the whole presentation ...
would LOVE to see this group at the Newport Jazz Fest in RI sometime ...
