This is another Big Band Arrangement utilizing The Tyros 5 sounds and SA2 premium instruments.

Best with Headphones.

Alan Russell Orchestration (c) 2016

Hi Alan

Great sound and playing, however what gives the game away that it is not real, (For even those who are not musicians) are the SA2 voices, which operate and add effects that no player would ever do, (SA2 while sounding great for home players, totally kills any form of realism for those that listen to real bands etc.) so drop these, and a lot of normal listeners having a general listen would not know that it was played on a keyboard.

Keep up the good work

Bill

Bill,

Can you possibly upload one of your big band multitrack midi score from your Tyros 5?

Alan Personally I thought it sounded fabulous and for the life of me I cant figure out what the heck Bill's talking about, especially the comment that even non-musicians would know that some voices are using effects that a real player wouldn't.
I mean, how would a non-musician know what a real musician can or can not do. Yeah, maybe something really crazy, but there is none of that in this recording to my ears.
Please post some more of your work. I thought it was excellent.
Jim

Just checking in. big hello to all Tyros arrangers. My current work is vocal orchestrations in retirement. Just for the sake of art and learning. I am using the T5. and lifetime sonar platinum daw. everything is working like a charm

Hi, Alan, when listening to music, I have very analytical ear, which is annoying sometimes, but listening to your performance,I rocked along with the band, and enjoyed it immensely.
