Hi

Based on the information posted recently about Weris products, I was recently talking to Ralph Conti Wersi USA about the new Wersi keyboards availble. You can visit the Wersi USA site at:

If you would like to talk to Ralph his phone number is: 717-299-4327. They have downsized somewhat and now only handle the Wersi complete line as they have for the last
25 years. They handled Rolands keyboard line and others for several years and now devote all their time and effort to Wersi.

Ralph and I go way back and they are just great people to deal with. We had a joint
venture many years ago with a store called
The Organ Outlet - in the New Port Richey,
Florida area and also selling Wersi in one of the stores I had called Keyboard Connection. Very good memories.

The Organ sounds were the best i'd heard on any keyboard, there is only one contender to take on and in my opinion better the Organ sounds on Technics instruments.

Wersi will blow your mind with realism

Organ sounds on Yamaha, Korg, Gem, and Roland just play at producing good organ sounds, I can't see them ever getting it right.

For a true Theatre Organ demo (1mb) recorded on the Wersi Abacus/Ikarus Keyboard please email me at:

Kind regards

I've no intention of selling my Technics KN7000, but from the moment Technics was no more, for me it signaled time to move on.

You can't dwell on the past, look to the future, try and inform friends of what you discover, maybe the majority will move on together.

All the best

In Oct 2003 my wife and I went for a week to ‘ keyboard cavalcade’ where
I spent a couple of afternoons listening to players demonstrating
the new Hammond B3. It was great. I also went to the Wersi stand
and turned up half an hour too early for their demonstration. While
speaking to the two demonstrators, I asked them if their keyboards
had the B4 software, they said yes, and commenced for the next
half hour to demonstrate the B4 software in the Abacus keyboard. Listening to the two
of them was marvellous. One demonstrator said he owned an Abacus keyboard, with the
B4 software, and I could have for £2,500. I nearly said yes on the spot, but instead
I said I would speak to the wife first. I went along to the Technics demonstration
which was brilliant, demonstrator can really play, any type of music
and any style, modern, standards and jazz, {which I would love to play, but I
haven’t got the gift} because I could not see any speaker system, I asked
the demonstrator what amplification system he was using. he said it was just
the keyboard’s own. Although the Hammond B3, and the Werse with it’s B4
software were great, I am still enjoying the KN7000 and for me, is a great sounding
and versatile, keyboard. The organs sounds in the KN7000 are as good
has any that I have heard, and it’s versatility should keep me and an audience,
satisfied for a very long time to come.
Just my thoughts on the subject.

P.S. There’s also a new Portable Hammond B3. www.hammondzone.com

I'd agree Technics Organ voices are excellent, but there will come a time when the KN7000 doesn't work or you can't get spares, that's the time to remember your visit to the "Keyboard Cavalcade" and the demonstartions you heard.

It's interesting that you could hear little improvemnet in the Wersi organ demo compared to the Technics. I'd agree though if this the way you hear things then no point in upgrading at the moment.

Kind regards

Peter
