Hello All

I thought someone out there might have some styles laying around for the KN1000. I am especially looking for jazz, swing, blues, boogie, dixie, funk etc. Also some good generic pop backrounds that "work" all the time (8 beat, 16 beat, country, rock, etc. you know, the stuff people would like to dance to. I suppose there is a KN1000 convertor available somewhere but I wonder if it's really worth it with a unit this old.

Also, I did find Gunnar Jonny's site. I was suprised to find this much stuff available.

Right now I'm considering updating to maybe a Korg PA80 or a KN6500. Any input on this would be appreciated also.

This is my first post here, and I'm looking forward to swapping ideas with you all.

Thanx

Hi Scott, and welcome to the "SynthZone gang"

I'll take a look to see if I can find any suitable stuff to update the KN1000 page in not too long....

If you visit http://www.ca-software.de/ you will find a lot of great stuff for your KN too.

Regarding what to do if/when buy a new keyboard, there is soooooooo many posts about that issue, so if you look around at the SZ forums you'll have a lot of inputs who'll help you, or maybe even confuse you

Kind regards
GJ

The KN1000 page got a update yesterday, and
now the PSR7000 internal styles are converted
and ready for you to try out.
Happy playing

Hello Gunnar

Thank you very much, I will look forward to trying them. Now I will have to see who will actually be enjoying those styles. I bought a PSR2000 yesterday! So, now I'm trying to decide whether to keep the KN or to sell it. There are a few sounds on the KN that I especially like. Like the vibes. I love that Lionel Hampton sound. And the clarinet for that dixieland and swing sound. If Yamaha has a good vibes or clarinet, I didn't find it when I was trying out the keyboard. Maybe the sounds can be altered.

So, either I will be the one enjoying these new styles, or you just made my KN more sale-able.

Either way, I thank you so very much.

Scott

Congrats!
I think you will find the new keyboard as a big
step forward compared to the KN1000, it's ages
between those models, so if not, it will be a big
surprice.....
Enjoy and have fun

Hi Scott, welcome to the forum. I used to be a Lowrey player for quite a few years, but had to get rid of the console for a keyboard when we moved south. Best move I ever made - the kn6000/6500 will do everything but sing for you, if you take the time to learn what all the knobs and buttons do. You should have checked out the Technics keyboards at Walt Tenay's shop in Florida before you got the Yamaha, but there's still time before the new kn7000 comes out! He might give you a good deal on a trade-in.
