As I've just tested my Nano 300 against the Bose Sounddock 10 (see mini PA system thread) and recognized its performance, I've begun to have my eye on a Nano 600, although I had always thought it to be a bit too heavy for my purposes.
But actually, as long as there are no stairs in the way and one can use trolleys or carts, it really doesn't make a significant difference.

So, the latest threads I could find about the Nano 600 are more than a year old. What are your experiences with it? Have some of the 2015 owners moved away to other systems again (DNJ, Jim Laing,...)? Or are you still happy with it?
And is a Nano 600 definitely better than two Nano 300? Is the sound quality of the top speakers better than those of the 300?

Just a minor feature I didn't like about the Nano 600:

There is a "fragile" plastic adapter that you have to slide onto the bottom of the satellites to be able to attach them to the base pole mount.

In the real world of gigging...this plastic and "fragile" adapter is not durable enough to survive the vigors of road set-up challenges.

I'll agree,... this is a minor annoyance.... but setting up and breaking down in a haste is annoying enough without have to deal with the challenges of this plastic adapter breaking or getting lost somewhere in transit.

I sold my pair of Nano 300 speakers and bought the Nano 600 over a year ago. I think the sound quality of the two small speakers
in the 600 are superior to those of the 300. Of course you have
more power in the amps. and the speakers are "baffled" so the sound is spread over a wide spectrum.

Both the 300 and the 600 are fine units. Bought both the 300 and the 600 from Frank at Audioworks.ct Lloyd

I haven't heard the 600 yet, but considering the construction of the top speakers with 4.5" plus 1" and 80 Watts vs. 35, I would also expect their sound quality to be better.
One thing I find a bit questionable about both 300 and 600 is that the subwoofer goes up to 190 Hertz, where the top speakers take over. So, in the 2.1 configuration, there is no stereo below 190 Hz. In practice however, this hasn't been very striking to me yet.

I can only say that the bass is awesome, rich and powerful.
After half volume on the bass, it becomes annoying. Lloyd

If you really need the mixer control a lot, it is surely interesting, but the 608i is also considerably more expensive than the 600. The audio features (speakers, wattage etc.) are identical.

Thats very true... most people have a seperate mixer..

but the idea behind the 608i is one i can see many people embrace in the future..

According to some tests the Nano series are quite addaptable to your preferences. And with the right settings you can even archieve a neutral sound character which might be what you prefer ... this goes for all 3, 300 600 and 608i
